Carbon Strategy

Our Climate Commitment

Our carbon reduction roadmap is central to everything we do. To date we have completed over 120 industrial solarisation projects and over 800 residential installations — delivering a combined clean power output of more than 5 MW across Kenya. Every system we install displaces fossil fuel use and lowers CO₂ emissions, and we track every tonne of it.

We actively engage in Kenya's carbon roadmap, enabling future access to carbon credit frameworks and offering climate-conscious investors measurable, verified impact.

General Understanding
What is a solar power system and how does it work?
A solar power system converts sunlight into electricity using solar panels, an inverter and optionally battery storage. Ardam Lite Tech designs systems that efficiently power homes, businesses and community facilities while reducing reliance on the grid.
What are the main components of a solar system?
Core components include solar panels, inverters, mounting structures, wiring and optional battery storage. Ardam Lite Tech provides fully integrated solutions including installation, maintenance and monitoring for optimal performance.
How long do solar panels last?
Quality panels typically last 25–30 years. Ardam Lite Tech ensures all systems use long-lasting, high-efficiency panels with warranties that match or exceed industry standards.
Cost & Financing
How much does it cost to install a solar system?
Costs depend on system size, components and site conditions. Ardam Lite Tech provides transparent quotations with detailed cost breakdowns, ensuring you fully understand your investment.
How long does it take to recoup the investment?
Payback typically ranges between 3–7 years depending on system size and energy consumption. Ardam Lite Tech models your expected savings and energy output to project ROI accurately.
Battery & Storage
Do I need a battery for my solar system?
Batteries are essential for off-grid or hybrid systems and provide backup during power outages. Ardam Lite Tech recommends the best battery type based on your energy requirements and budget.
Can I store excess energy for night-time use?
Yes. Hybrid systems with batteries store surplus daytime energy for night-time consumption. Ardam Lite Tech designs storage systems optimised for maximum efficiency.
Installation & Suitability
How do I know if my property is suitable for solar?
Factors like roof orientation, shading and energy consumption determine suitability. Ardam Lite Tech offers site assessments and feasibility studies to recommend the best solar solution for your property.
What is the difference between on-grid, off-grid and hybrid systems?
On-grid connects to the main grid and allows net metering. Off-grid is independent and requires batteries. Hybrid combines grid connection with battery storage for backup. Ardam Lite Tech installs all three system types.
Do solar panels work in cloudy or rainy weather?
Yes. Panels still generate electricity in diffuse sunlight, though output is slightly lower. Ardam Lite Tech designs systems that optimise energy production across all weather conditions.
Performance & Maintenance
Do solar panels require maintenance?
Minimal maintenance is needed — usually periodic cleaning and inspection. Ardam Lite Tech offers comprehensive maintenance packages to maximise system lifespan and performance.
Can I expand my system later if I need more power?
Yes. Ardam Lite Tech designs scalable systems allowing you to add panels or batteries as your energy needs grow — protecting your initial investment long-term.
Can wind energy be used for homes or businesses?
Yes. Small to medium-sized wind turbines can generate electricity for off-grid homes, commercial facilities or community projects. Ardam Lite Tech conducts wind resource assessments to determine feasibility.
